When you win a game, you could receive anything from small cash prizes to groceries as Housie game prizes.

Here are few of the Housie prizes usually up for grabs:

  • Club vouchers which can be spent at the club in which you played.
  • Gift vouchers and grocery hampers.
  • Fruit and wine, chocolate or luxury food hampers.
  • Accommodation vouchers or travel vouchers.
  • Smaller cash prizes up to NZ$30 or £50 – £100.

Housie Raffles

Housie raffles are especially found in New Zealand Housie halls. These raffles are drawn in the interval, and often end up being one of the night’s highlights!

Here are some of the Housie prizes to be won in raffles:

  • Big raffle prizes at some halls have included trailers, a Sony Handycam, home entertainment systems and BBQ fridges. These can be won by up to five players per raffle.
  • After the grand prize, there are often smaller Housie prizes such as electrical products, home goods, gardening, toy, sporting and outdoor prizes.
  • Some clubs have meat raffles, in which winning players can win meat from local butchers.
  • Other Housie clubs have special progressive raffles that can take weeks to be won. These are usually cash prizes, and each time it is not won, a set amount is added to the prize.

Online Housie Prizes

Online Housie prizes are very different to land Housie prizes. For one thing, these are nearly always cash, and amounts vary depending on the game time, number of players and game type.

Each online Housie site has different prizes, and while the rooms with the most number of players will have the biggest prizes, these Housie prizes are harder to win due to this very fact.
